The Anglican Diocese of Eastern Zambia sent two coordinators Rev Emmanual and Rev
Frank to have DGS training at the training conducted at the new training centre at St
Crispin’s. Their training is part of a comprehensive diocesan plan to develop DGS across the
diocese, which is mostly rural.
ADEZ has applied for an ABM grant to help the DGS to develop and spread. We are mindful
that in 2010 for 5 years ABM gave sacrificial support to the development of CGS (which was
the forerunner of DGS Africa) which gave DGS the capability of growing leadership for DGS
to grow in Kenya and now in 10 African countries. We hope for this ABM support in ADEZ and
in turn they may help DGS grow in other dioceses in Zambia and even to other countries in
central and southern Africa.
