The past three months have seen great progress in development of DGS in the East of
Kenya. In association with AMA, Formation Leader Immaculate has done DGS introduction
sessions in Malindi, Mombasa, Tauti and Machakos Anglican dioceses, and this work was
further supported by the DGS input into a recent children’s ministry diocesan cluster
conference involving these dioceses plus Makueni diocese (where DGS has been developing
for some years) with the result that now all five are moving on the development of DGS in
their dioceses.
Great interest in, the about new life workshops in Makueni Anglican Diocese
A presentation was done about new life at a recent Women’s conference with about 700
Participants. Feedback from the small group sessions supports more preparation of couples
and young people and the need to overcome emotional harm in little children.
DGS needs to give priority to training people about the two, about new life workshops, one
for Teens and Young adults and the other for adults preparing to have children. A summary of
the workshop feedback is set out below.
